BAY  AREA  ALT.  CREATIVES  TAROT  PROJECT

My involvement as an artist in burlesque shows in San Jose, California has led me to a network of events, projects, and people that I would've loved to have known in my younger years. Sadly, COVID-19 has cut this engagement with my newfound community short. As we all wonder what lies ahead, I feel that it is important to honor the scene that has given me so much joy by creating my own Tarot deck. It will be my tribute to our amazing San Francisco Bay Area nightlife and its inclusive community of alternative creatives: local artists, performers, producers, and supporters. The deck will function as a sort of Rolodex of like-minded creatives so we can maintain ties and reach out to one another whenever we are able to gather and have a nightlife again. Not only that, but it will also serve as a symbol: something that says as a community, we can still do great things despite trying circumstances.

This project will take me hundreds of hours to complete, so I have decided to do it on a commission basis. Those who choose to participate may secure a specific tarot card from the deck for a small fee. The different tiers of support (and what you get for each) are as follows:

Tier 1; $50: You’ll receive a high-resolution digital image of the custom Tarot card that I will create for you, in a file format of your choice.

Tier 2; $60: The same benefit as the first tier, plus you will receive a free deck when the project is done.

Tier 3; $70: The same benefits as tier 2, with the addition of a high-quality 8x10 photo print of your card.

Card reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. I can’t make several different versions of the same tarot card, as in the final deck, each card will only have one version. It will be a huge undertaking and will most likely take years to actually complete. With your support, we can make it happen.
